JCD soldering iron kit review, the ultimate tool for your projects. Good quality for a hobby soldering kit under $20, perfect for beginners. How many of you had to deal with cheap soldering irons that did not last too long ? The bad part is that usually they let you down when you need them the most. I had the same issue many times. So far it’s been over two years since I have this kit and it still works like new. I even forgot it plugged in for three days at 350° C by mistake. It had no issues whatsoever and my house didn’t catch fire. Please pay attention and learn from my mistakes not yours. But now I do feel safe using this soldering iron to be honest. Probably 95% of the projects I presented on YouTube for the past two years, are all built using this soldering iron.

The adjustable temperature level is one of my favorite features. There are many hobby soldering stations that come with an adjustable temperature power supply. Accessories
The kit includes: a soldering iron holder, a unsoldering pump, solder, a wire stripper, tweezers and spare soldering tips in different shapes and sizes. This is an excellent kit for beginners or hobbyists. I am not a professional in building electronics, so an expensive kit it’s really not for me. This will do just fine and so far I am more than happy with it.
Temperature Control
The temperature is adjustable and it can be set really easy using the buttons placed on the handle. Very easy to adjust the temperature while soldering. This is my favorite feature so far as I always had power related issues on my older soldering irons. I am so happy with this one that I am seriously thinking to buy one or two more to have them as spares for the future, just in case.
Final Thoughts
I know that experienced people told me to invest in an expensive high quality soldering iron. It is true that sometimes quality comes for a price. But why spend so much money when I can still purchase a good quality one for a fraction of the price ? I would rather invest the rest of the money in measurement equipment or components. The JSD soldering iron kit it’s all I need at this time and I am really happy about it.
